This picture was taken at Legend City, Tempe, AZ in 1977. Henry Bros. Circus was in full swing. My two sons, Solon and Gabe, performed with the other animals in the circus.

Shorty and Jerry’s Kids
In 1977 we were asked if we would help with the Jerry Lewis Telethon. We raised thousands of dollars at Legend City for this event. Legend City and I got a big thank you from the Jerry Lewis Foundation and that was enough.
Henry’s Petting Zoo
Henry Bros. also had a petting zoo at Legend City. This is Blanco, one of many animals that were featured.
Another Bow
I remember we did 8 shows that 4th, not only Shorty, but chimps and dogs as well. We opened Legend City at 12 noon and stayed open until 1:30 am. My two sons, Solon and Gabe, worked the acts with me all day.
